About Me

I began music lessons on the viola at the age of seven. Later I played violin, and played both instruments throughout high school before settling on the viola as my primary instrument. My musical education includes experience with the Young Musicians of Virginia and the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Suzuki Strings Programs. In 2010 I toured with the SIUE Suzuki Tour group, visiting and performing throughout Spain.
I completed my Bachelor Degree in Viola Performance in 2017, studying with Bradley Ottesen at Utah State University. In 2019 I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Masters Degree in Suzuki Pedagogy (teaching), under the mentorship of Dr. Karin Hallberg, Dr. Jacquelyn Schwandt and Dr. Louise Scott. During my spare time, I enjoy creative projects, running, and watching documentaries.
